A $35.00 non-refundable testing fee must be paid at the time the application is filed. Checks and money orders are to be made payable to Lower Paxton Township.
The physical fitness test is scheduled for Sunday April 25, 2021 at Landis Field, 4600 Locust Lane, Harrisburg, PA 17109. Applicant's individual start times for the fitness test will be posted at a later time. Applicants who pass the fitness test will take the written examination at 2:00 PM the same day at the adjacent middle school.

No residency requirement
All applicants must possess ACT 120 certification as a sworn police officer from Pennsylvania Municipal Police Officers Education and Training Commission (MPOETC) or its equivalent as a sworn police officer from another institution charged with certifying police officers at the time of a conditional offer of employment.
