LPPD Gives Thanks for National Police Week Thoughtfulness

Last week was National Police Week.  The LPPD would like to thank the members of the community who thanked us for our service and also provided food and treats throughout the entire week.  Not a day went by when we did not receive cards, thanks and food.  We would particularly like to thank Mountain View Elementary and Robert Reid Elementary for providing cards, notes of thanks and treats, some of which you can see in the photographs.

Also, unknown to us, the spouses and significant others of many of our officers worked with many businesses to provide food each day for us. Businesses who helped with this surprise effort were CD Pizza, Costco, Giant, Hoffman Ford, Moe's Pizza, Mission BBQ, Olive Garden, Panera Bread, Tire Mart and Two Brother's Pizza.  These businesses, spouses and significant others did not want any recognition for their efforts, merely wanted to say thank you.  LPPD offers a big thanks in return.

We truly appreciate the strong community-police bonds that exist in Lower Paxton Township.  We pledge to continue to work to develop meaningful partnerships in the community and maintain mutual trust and respect.
