HAIR’S THE NEWS! For the fourth consecutive year, the Lower Paxton Township Police Department is allowing their officers to grow facial hair for the month of November with a generous charitable donation to the JOE ALLEGRINI CHILDREN’S HERO FUND.  The Joe Allegrini Children’s Hero Fund is a local charity in Dauphin County with a mission to fight child abuse.  This remains a very popular fundraiser among the police department members as they help raise funds for the foundation created in memory of one of their own, Detective Joe Allegrini. All participating members are permitted to grow neatly trimmed beards and goatees from 11/01/2019 – 11/30/2019.  Female officers will have a relaxed nail grooming policy and are permitted to wear nail polish which is typically limited to clear or neutral colors.  Thank you all for supporting and participating in the funds raised and for enthusiastically standing beside the children of our community! Have fun and Hairy on!
