The Middletown Borough Police Department is comprised of 16 Sworn Personnel (12 full time and 4 part time) and 1 Administrative Department Secretary.
The Department currently has a Chief (Interim), 2 Patrol Sergeants (including 1 acting Sergeant), 1 Detective Sergeant, 1 Detective, 7 full-time Patrolman, and 4 part-time Patrolman.
Middletown Borough Police would like to present some very positive stats and rankings for our CRIMEWATCH website in 2019.
We believe that CRIMEWATCH is a invaluable resource that brings together our Department, and our Community, in a combined effort to fight crime, as well as to advertise positive community events, and keep our residents aware of issues and concerns relating to the public safety of our Borough.
Highlights of 2019:
Due to the COVID-19 pandemic and limited resources of PPE (Personal Protective Equipment), Middletown Borough Police were donated specially constructed cloth masks to supplement our precious and limited medical-grade gear. These masks are washable and can be worn MULTIPLE TIMES.
Middletown Police would like to offer a special thanks to Chief Whitebread and the Middletown Fire Department, as well as Tattered Flag, for their combined effort in helping our Department to commercially sanitize our patrol vehicles. We cannot thank you enough!

On Thursday March 26th, Middletown Borough Police Department was visited by a great group of kids who left their mark and touched our hearts with some amazing sidewalk chalk messages for our Department.
In these uncertain and trying times, always remember that we stand firm, protecting and serving, no matter the risk or the danger, and will forever continue to do so.

§ 101-3.1 Desecrations and nuisances.
In recognition of the DEA's National Drug Take Back Day, the Middletown Police Department will be partnering with the Middletown Giant in collecting unwanted prescription drugs at the Middletown Giant this Saturday, October 26, 2019 from 10 am to 2pm.
With the ever growing use and popularity of websites and apps such as Craigslist, Let Go, Facebook Marketplace, etc., the Middletown Police Department has taken steps to provide a well-lit, convenient place for users to complete transactions at any time of the day or night.
