On 2/17/2019 at approximately 0020 hours a Dauphin County Sheriff's Unit, assisted by Middletown Borough Police did conduct a traffic stop in the 400 Block of Second Street in Highspire Borough. This traffic stop was conducted during a multi-agency Saturation Detail that was hosted by the Middletown Borough Police Department. The Saturation Detail included the Dauphin County Sheriff's Department, Highspire Borough Police, Dauphin County Adult Probation/Parole, and PA State Parole.
The vehicle was found to have a faulty driver's side tail light, and expired registration. The driver, a 16 year old male, was found to have NO LICENSE and two teenage juvenile passengers.
An odor of Marijuana was emanating from the vehicle and a subsequent search led to the seizure of a substantial amount of Marijuana and additional drug paraphernalia.
The (3) juveniles were released to an adult guardian. The juvenile driver will be charged via Juvenile Allegation.
