On Sunday morning 05-26-19 at approximately 6:00 a.m. the Steelton Police responded to the areas of South 4th Street and Swatara Streets for a report of an armed robbery with a shot being fired. Officers arrived and made contact with the victims who stated as they were sitting on their porch when four juvenile males walked up to them to ask for a cigarette. When the victims stated they were to young to smoke the suspects then demanded money and pulled out handguns at this time. The victims fled into their house and a shot was fired with no one being harmed at that time. The Steelton Police began immediately investigating and were able to identify the suspects through other residents video surveillance equipment. At approximately 2 p.m. a Steelton Officer observed the suspects on South 2nd Street and they immediately began to run when confronted. Officers did apprehend all four juveniles and K9 Noro who conducted a article search in the area did find the stolen 45 caliber semiautomatic handgun that was thrown by the suspects. 3 of the juveniles were charged through Dauphin County Juvenile Probation with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, robbery, criminal conspiracy, reckless endangerment and simple assault by physical menace. One juvenile was charged as an adult and arraigned at night court with robbery, conspiracy, aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, firearms offenses and receiving stolen property.
