On 6/3/13, at approximately 2:30 PM, Swatara Police were called to the Mid Penn Bank, 4509 Derry Street, Hbg, for a report of an unknown B/M who had just robbed the bank. The suspect had displayed a threatening note and fled the store after receiving an undisclosed amount of cash. Swatara Detectives, with the assistance of the Pennsylvania State Police Crime Lab, were able to develop trace evidence from the robbery note. Detectives discovered that Ramsey was incarcerated in Dauphin County prison on a Burglary Charge from Harrisburg city that took place on the same day as the robbery at the bank. Swatara Police have charged Edward Ramsey with Robbery. Ramsey is also being investigated by the Dauphin County Criminal Investigation Division for Escape for an incident on 8/21/13 where he walked away from a prison work detail. Ramsey was committed to Dauphin County Prison on $75,000 bail on the Robbery charge.
