Robbery / Firearms Violations

On Sunday, March 29, 2020 at approximately 2:29 p.m. Swatara officers were called to the Walmart on Grayson Road for a retail theft incident in which the suspect brandished a firearm.  The suspect, later identified as twenty-two year old Bryan COLON-TROCHE, fled from the store prior to the arrival of our officers.  While enroute to the Walmart our officers located COLON-TROCHE fleeing in a dark sedan and initiated a pursuit that resulted in COLON-TROCHE losing control of his vehicle and striking an embankment in the area of 67th Street and Lyters Lane where he was taken into custody without further incident.

COLON-TROCHE was found to be in possession of a stolen .40 caliber handgun and based on his prior criminal history classified as a person not authorized to possess a firearm.  He was charged with Robbery, Firearms violations, Receiving Stolen Property, Fleeing or Eluding a Police Officer, and various motor vehicle code violations.  COLON-TROCHE was arraigned and remanded to the Dauphin County Prison as he was unable to post a $50,000.00 bail.
