Swatara Police have located the juvenile and she has been placed in protective custody. Edwin Antonio Vargas, Jr. has also been located and taken into custody on charges stemming from this incident as well as his outstanding warrant. Swatara Township Police believe the juvenile may be with an adult male named Edwin Antonio Vargas, Jr. H/M/32, last know address, 9 S. 16th Street, Hbg. Vargas knows the juvenile through a family relationship. Swatara Township Detectives would like to speak to Vargas about this incident. Vargas has a capias warrant for his arrest out of Dauphin County Adult Probation. On 10/4/14, at 6:45 p.m. twelve year old (juvenile's name redacted) ran away from her home in the 5000 Block of Stacey Drive East, in Swatara Twp. She left a note and stated that she would be home in a "couple of days". Detectives from Swatara PD ascertained that she was picked up by a Capital City Cab at her house and was dropped off in the 400 block of East Market Street in York, PA. The cab driver stated that she was in the company of a hispanic female, 35-40 years old, medium build. Swatara Police are working with York City Police to locate the Juvenile.
