Swatara Police Search for Rape Suspect



On June 14th at 3:16 a.m., a Swatara Township Patrol Officer was flagged down on S. 28th Street near Amity Road by a female who was walking barefoot and appeared to be in distress. The female reported that she had just been sexually assaulted and raped by an unknown male behind a business on Amity Road. The female advised that she was in Harrisburg and accepted a ride from the male to go to a friend's house in Swatara Township. The suspect male pulled his car behind the business and assaulted her. The male left her and she was able to flag down the police. The suspect is described as a b/m, mid 20's, overweight, approximately 5' 10", with black short hair, a small goatee on his chind, wearing shorts and a t-shirt. The suspect is driving a foreign model green car with a manual transmission. The female has been treated at a local hospital. A composite sketch of the suspect will be released in the near future.
