Tomika Stubbs Homicide Update - Guilty Plea

On Sunday, May 15, 2016 at 7:55 a.m. the Swatara Township Police were dispatched to 8301 Presidents Drive for an unresponsive person.  Upon arrival officers found that 37 year old Tomika Stubbs had been killed in her apartment.  An ensuing investigation determined that 56 year old Archie Lee Wright stabbed Ms. Stubbs 17 times with a knife and strangled her with a bicycle security chain.  An arrest warrant was obtained for Wright on May 16, 2016 and he was taken into custody later that evening.

On Friday, December 6, 2019 Archie Lee Wright pled guilty to Murder in the 3rd Degree and Tampering with Evidence before the Honorable President Judge Richard Lewis after which he was sentenced to a minimum of 20 years and a maximum of 40 years in a state correctional facility.  

The Swatara Township Police Department thank all agencies who assisted in this investigation and prosecution of this homicide including the Dauphin County District Attorney's Office, the Dauphin County Coroner's Office, The Capital Region Forensics Unit and the Pennsylvania State Police Bureau of Forensic Services.
