On 4-15-16 at approximately 0750 hours, an adult male in a white car stopped in the street to speak with two young girls who were walking to school at Steelton-Highspire High School. He asked the girls to pick a number between one and ten. One of the girls guessed a number, and he claimed that she "got it right," and tried to hand her a can of soda. She refused and the two girls continued to walk to school, where they reported the incident to school officials. The male drove away heading north on South Harrisburg Street from Orchard Drive. The girls did not see this person again after he drove away. The male was not located by police, but is being sought for questioning as to his intentions. He is described as a Hispanic male with a mustache and goatee, his hair was pulled into a pony tail, and he was driving a white sedan. Steelton Borough Police have been advised of this incident, as have the Highspire Borough Police. Patrols by officers have been increased to identify this person and promote the safety of children walking to/from school.
