Join us for National Drug Take Back Day on April 27th!
The National Prescription Drug Take Back Program is back. On Saturday, April 27th from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. you can bring your unused or expired medication to the Swatara Township Municipal Building for safe disposal. It is recommended that you peel off any labels on any prescription bottles prior to disposal, however it is not required. All types of medication are accepted whether it is an over the counter drug or prescription, including liquids as long as they are in a sealed container, however NO NEELDES are allowed. This is an anonymous program and therefore no ID or paperwork is required.
The Swatara Township Police Department would like to remind those who may be unable to attend this scheduled Drug Take Back event that this program is offered at the police department anytime throughout the year. Residents and Non-residents can utilize the Drug Box located in the Police Department lobby during regular business hours Monday – Friday from 8:00 a.m. 4:30 p.m.
Thank you to Capital Blue Cross for partnering with the police department for this event!
