Business & Resident Camera Registry
In an effort to collaborate better with the community, the Swatara Township Police Department is asking all residents and business with cameras to register with the police department. Access to video following a crime can be the difference in solving the crime or not. To register your camera click here.
If you need a police officer to be dispatched to your location or to call you on the telephone, please contact Dauphin County Communications at 717-558-6900. For emergencies call 911. The receptionist at the police department does not have the means by which to dispatch police officers. Thank you.

On December 15, 2015 Andrew Staudt was charged with Access Device Fraud after using another person's credit card without their permission. Staudt was identified with the assistance of surveillance footage from Target Loss Prevention.
On June 19, 2015 Maryann Heckman attempted to purchase a firearm at Bass Pro Shops at the Harrisburg Mall. While filling out the ATF Form Heckman provided false information. Since then Heckman was arrested and charged with Unsworn Falsification to Authority.

On December 14, 2015 Nicholas Brodie was charged with Access device fraud after it was learned that he had used another person's debit card without their permission. Brodie had used the card to complete unauthorized transactions in the amount of $399.50 at multiple locations.
