The Dauphin County Police Testing Consortium and ten area agencies have entered into an agreement to conduct a cooperative testing process for the position of police officer. The physical agility test will take place on Saturday, June 8th and Sunday, June 9th, 2019 and the written exam will take place on Saturday June 15th, 2019. The agencies participating at this time include: Derry Twp.

Swatara Township Police Department’s K9 Kix has received a bullet and stab protective vest thanks to a charitable donation from non-profit organization Vested Interest in K9s, Inc. The vest was sponsored by an Anonymous Sponsor and embroidered with the sentiment “Honoring those who served and sacrificed”.

In an effort to collaborate better with the community, the Swatara Township Police Department is asking all residents and business with cameras to register with the police department. Access to video following a crime can be the difference in solving the crime or not. To register your camera click here.
If you need a police officer to be dispatched to your location or to call you on the telephone, please contact Dauphin County Communications at 717-558-6900. For emergencies call 911. The receptionist at the police department does not have the means by which to dispatch police officers. Thank you.

Swatara Township Police conducted a prostitution enforcement detail during the evening hours of 6/16/15 in the hotels and motels along the Eisenhower Boulevard corridor. During that enforcement detail Anthony Lupian was arrested for patronizing a prostitute.
