In an effort to collaborate better with the community, the Swatara Township Police Department is asking all residents and business with cameras to register with the police department. Access to video following a crime can be the difference in solving the crime or not. To register your camera click here.
If you need a police officer to be dispatched to your location or to call you on the telephone, please contact Dauphin County Communications at 717-558-6900. For emergencies call 911. The receptionist at the police department does not have the means by which to dispatch police officers. Thank you.

Eric Garonzik has been charged with rape and sexual assault after an incident in a parking lot in the 7400 block of Derry Street in September of 2013. Garonzik knew the victim. Garonzik was taken into custody on December 6, 2013.
