In an effort to collaborate better with the community, the Swatara Township Police Department is asking all residents and business with cameras to register with the police department. Access to video following a crime can be the difference in solving the crime or not. To register your camera click here.
If you need a police officer to be dispatched to your location or to call you on the telephone, please contact Dauphin County Communications at 717-558-6900. For emergencies call 911. The receptionist at the police department does not have the means by which to dispatch police officers. Thank you.

On November 16, 2013 Holly Harnden III was arrested at the WalMart on Grayson Road for retail theft. Harnden attempted to leave the store without paying for merchandise valued over $230. Harnden was arrested without incident and is charged with retail theft.

On November 16, 2013 at around 4 am Anthony Corrado was arrested for physically assaulting his girlfriend. Corrado was arraigned on the charges and is currently incarcerated in Dauphin County Prison on a probation detainer.
