The Swatara Township Police Department is pleased to announce Corporal Shawn Moore as the 2020 Officer of the Year. Cpl Moore was presented with this honor during the Township Commissioner meeting on January 13, 2021.

Swatara Township Police continue to receive an outpouring of support from our community. In a way to assist our residents with showing their support for our Officers we created a "We Support Our Police" yard signs.
In the past week we have seen a lot in interest from the public in purchasing these signs. We have updated the signs to include pictures of our K-9 partners and K-9 logo.
The Swatara Township Police Department started a new initiative involving the uniform badge patches that our police officers wear each day. Three new specialty patches were created so that our officers can help show support throughout the community for Breast Cancer Awareness, Autism Awareness and Military Appreciation. In an effort to collaborate better with the community, the Swatara Township Police Department is asking all residents and business with cameras to register with the police department.
