On 10-23-19 at approximately 10:45am, Steelton Borough Police were dispatched to a report of disorderly males arguing.  Upon speaking with the complainant, officers were alerted that an illegal gun was removed from the complainant's residence and was hidden in the area.  During a search of the area, officers discovered a sawed-off shotgun hidden in a trash can in the same fashion as described by the complainant.  Officers discovered the gun belonged to Todd Croman, a former felon not permitted to possess a firearm.  Croman was arrested and charged with Carrying a Firearm without a License, Firearms Act - Convict Not to Possess, Altering Markings on a Firearm, and Recklessly Endangering Another Person.
