On 9-18-2020, Steelton Borough Police were dispatched to the 300 block of Pine Street for a potential attempted abduction. Officers spoke with the complainant who stated that their child was retrieving an item outside when a vehicle, described as a dark blue family van, approached the child and instructed them to get inside. The child ran to grab a baseball bat from the porch when the vehicle drove east on Pine Street towards Swatara Township.
