Late Saturday 09/20/2014 at approximately 1050 pm, a large street fight erupted in the 200 block of Lincoln Street. When Steelton Police arrived on scene approximately 30 to 40 persons (adults / juveniles & male / female)  were in the street fighting. More police officers from surrounding jurisdictions were summoned to assist with the large crowd. The crowd quickly dispersed leaving behind evidence of the brawl such as loose sneakers, sandals, pieces of wood, vomit, strands of weave and articles of clothing strewn about the street. No charges have been filed yet however Police are still investigating the incident. Police have met with some opposition from residents. One of the residents commented to Police that "this is not a Police problem, it is a neighborhood problem". Approximately 9 Emergency Medical Service Units arrived on scene to assist with fight related trauma. No serious injuries were reported to Police.
