On Thursday, December 29, 2022, at approximately 10:14 PM, Steelton Borough Police received a call for an armed carjacking in the 100 block of South 2nd Street. Officers arrived on the scene and met with the victim, who advised that a male put a gun to her head and stole her vehicle. The stolen vehicle was located by Swatara Township Police in their jurisdiction. Upon pursuit, the stolen vehicle fled, and they lost contact with it. The stolen vehicle was located by Lower Paxton Township Police in the area of Milroy Road and Adams Drive, as the vehicle had crashed, and all five (5) occupants of the car were apprehended.
Three (3) adults, Tyjeir Wilson of Steelton, Aalir Mayo of Harrisburg, and Edwin Rojas Cardova of Highspire, were charged with numerous crimes by Steelton Police. Two (2) juveniles were also charged as adults in this incident.
The Steelton Borough Police Department would like to thank the Swatara Township Police Department and the Lower Paxton Police Department for their assistance with this incident. This incident shows a collaborative effort and a good working relationship between departments to combat crime in Dauphin County.
