Angela N. Rivera, 33-year-old, was arrested on Thursday, August 20, 2020, for False Reports to Law Enforcement.

On Wednesday, August 19, 2020, Police responded to Rivera's home for a report of an assault. Upon arrival, Police observed that Rivera had a bloody lip and scratch on her forehead. She reported that while taking the trash out, a light-skin black male, wearing a black fitted ballcap, approached her from behind and pushed her into a concrete wall, causing her face to scrape against the wall; and that the male made intimidating threatening remarks to her. Police conducted an investigation and processed the scene. After the investigation, Police concluded that Rivera's statements were inconsistent with their findings.

Rivera was asked to report to the Highspire Borough Police Department for a formal interview the following day. During that interview and going over the details of the incident step-by-step, Angela admitted she made up the assault because she was upset with her ex-boyfriend who keeps harassing her.
