On 10/28/22 at approximately 0243 hours, Highspire Police were called to the scene of an accident.  An SUV vehicle was traveling East on Second St when it left the roadway sheered off a telephone pole and landed on top of a large concrete planter in a yard in the 200 block of Second St Highspire. Police arrived on scene and found an elderly female in the vehicle. She was ID as Denise Solomon. Solomon showed signs of impairment.  As a result of this investigation Solomon was charged with Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol. She will face a hearing before MDJ Kenneth Lenker 12-2-02 in the near future.
