On Saturday, February 8, 2020, it was reported that unknown individual(s) went through an unlocked vehicle in the 300 Block of Second Street, sometime between February 7 and 8. A wallet was stolen from the vehicle and recovered nearby.

The Highspire Borough Police Department would like to remind everyone about the importance of locking your vehicles. Individuals have been caught on camera walking down the streets in different locations of the Borough during late hours of the night checking all parked vehicles for unlocked doors. As a result, several vehicles have been stolen in the past two months and taken for joyrides. If you suspect that your vehicle was broken into please make sure to file a police report.
