Corporal Rich Wilson and Patrol Officer Brian Aponte receive Life Saving Medals for their response to an armed and barricaded suspect in November on North 6th Street. Corporal Wilson was the Watch Commander and directed the efforts to surround the house and initiate negotiations. Patrol Officer Aponte was called into action as the negotiator as the suspect only spoke Spanish. He was coached in these Negotiations by Corporal Lee Ann Tarasi who also received a Life Saving Medal. Great job by everyone for convincing this suspect to surrender without any Police force being required!
