Susquehanna Township Police investigated a report of a stolen package from a porch that occurred yesterday, (December 10, 2019).  The investigation revealed that the "suspect", that was captured on a "Ring" camera was not in fact a thief, but a subcontracted/seasonal UPS delivery employee.  Being a subcontracted/seasonal employee and not being familiar with the area he had delivered packages to the wrong addresses.  He had returned to this particular residence to retrieve the package and deliver it to the correct address. 

Due to the holiday increase of packages, delivery services sometimes employ additional subcontracted/seasonal help to make the deliveries.  In a lot of these cases the employee is not outfitted in any distinguishable clothing displaying the company's logo, but they are in fact dressed in plainclothes. This same manner of operation is reflected in their use of nondescript vehicles to make these deliveries as well.

The employee identified in this incident was not criminally charged and was just performing his duties as a subcontracted employee of UPS.
