Dauphin County District Attorney Ed Marsico issued the following statement on Judge Deborah Essis Curcillo's ruling preventing public access to a video showing Hummelstown Police Officer Lisa Mearkle shooting and killing David Kassick: "while our office respectfully disagrees with portions of the court's ruling, there is adequate legal basis for the decision. We, along with the Pennsylvania State Police, have been open and transparent throughout this process. The Commonwealth looks forward to presenting our case at trial."
