Today, Dauphin County District Attorney Fran Chardo announced the appointment of Corey L. Dickerson as Chief County Detective. Chief Dickerson will head the Criminal Investigation Division of the District Attorney's Office. Chief John Goshert has been the Chief County Detective since 2004. Chief Dickerson has nearly 18 years of law enforcement experience. Prior to this appointment, he served as a Detective Sergeant and head of the Dauphin County Drug Task Force. In that role, he also oversaw the Dauphin County Interdiction Unit. The Drug Task Force and the Interdiction Unit combined consists of 31 officers from throughout Dauphin County. Chief Dickerson has been a county detective since 2008. Prior to that, he served as a patrol officer with the Arlington County Police Department in Virginia.
District Attorney Chardo appointed Robert S. Ligon as Deputy Chief County Detective. Deputy Chief Ligon has served as a county detective for two years. Prior to that, Deputy Chief Ligon served 28 years as a member of the Pennsylvania State Police. He retired at the rank of lieutenant and he commanded several stations within Troop H.
