October 28, 2015- Commonwealth v Jeffrey Fairley: On Wednesday, October 28, 2015, Jeffrey Fairley entered a plea of guilty to one count of Aggravated Assault and one count of Simple Assault by Physical Menace in connection with two domestic violence incidents involving his girlfriend in December of last year. Fairley was accused of using a glass object to strike his girlfriend in the head, leaving pieces of glass in her scalp and causing a large cut on her forehead. A week prior to that incident, Fairley had threatened his girlfriend with a knife, placing her in fear of death or serious bodily injury. The Honorable Richard A. Lewis sentenced Fairley to 5 to 10 years in a state correctional institution. Chief Deputy District Attorney Michael A. Sprow prosecuted this case on behalf of the Commonwealth.
