September 24, 2015- Commonwealth v Collins: Johnny Collins, 24, of 39D Hall Manor, Harrisburg, pleaded guilty today to possession with intent to deliver marijuana, conspiracy and possession of a prohibited offensive weapon. He received a sentence of 1 to 2 years in a state correctional facility. While executing a search warrant in June of 2014, Harrisburg police found 9 bags of marijuana, one loose bag of marijuana, more than a thousand dollars in cash and a sawed-off shotgun.
Collins also pleaded guilty to fleeing and eluding and two counts of DUI – controlled substances for a May 17, 2014 incident in Penbrook Borough. Collins was observed by Penbrook police driving erratically near Walnut Street and Progress Avenue. When Officer Jesse Foltz attempted to pull the vehicle over, it sped away, ending on a one-way street, where it was blocked by a Susquehanna Township police vehicle. Collins was found to be in possession of marijuana and had both marijuana and PCP in his blood. For those charges, he was sentenced to 24 months of state probation by the Hon. John F. Cherry.
