Today, Jeremiah D. Battle waived his right to a preliminary hearing in connection with the first-degree murders of Natasha Harner and Kaliah Dearing. Battle and his attorneys also waived the right to a hearing on the charges of burglary and tampering with physical evidence. Battle remains held without bail in the Dauphin County Prison. Judge Deborah E. Curcillo set formal arraignment for March 29, 2018. Battle retains the presumption of innocence as these are merely charges against him. The Commonwealth has the burden of proving these charges.
