Michael Einzig, 50, pled guilty on September 21, 2015 to Aggravated Assault and associated offenses stemming from a domestic violence incident involving a chainsaw. On the evening of October 11, 2014 Lower Paxton police were dispatched to the home of the victim, who was involved in a relationship with Einzig, after she reported that he had threatened her and another occupant in the home with a chainsaw which he retrieved from a shed in her backyard. Einzig remained on scene and told police the location of the chainsaw. He also confessed to threatening both victims with the chainsaw, including saying about one victim that he “would have chopped him up with the chainsaw if I could have gotten it started quicker.”
The Honorable President Judge Richard A. Lewis deferred sentencing to November 20, 2015, at which time Einzig will face a 3 to 10 year sentence of incarceration. Officer Steven Wertz of the Lower Paxton Township Police Department was the arresting officer in this case.
