March 9, 2015- Commonwealth v David Gann: On Monday, March 9, 2015, David Gann pleaded guilty to one count of Aggravated Assault, one count of Terroristic Threats and one count of Unlawful Restraint from an incident that occurred in the city of Harrisburg on May 27, 2014, where he violently assaulted the victim, his girlfriend. As his girlfriend attempted to leave their residence, Gann verbally threatened her, refused to let her leave pulled her to the ground by her hair and proceeded to drag her throughout the apartment. He then repeatedly punched the victim in her face, causing her to be hospitalized for a week. Ultimately, the victim suffered an orbital blowout fracture to her eye socket and had a plate inserted in the left side of her face. To this day, she still has some bouts of double vision. Gann received a sentence of 3 ½ - 7 years in a State Correctional Institution from the Dauphin County Judge Todd Hoover. Detective John O’Connor from the Harrisburg City Police Department was investigated the case. This case was prosecuted by Deputy District Attorney Kristyne Sharpe.
