On 08/12/2019 Middletown Officers were dispatched to the Citizens Bank in the borough for a fraudulent check attempting to be passed.

Officers arrived on scene and took possession of the check and the ID provided with it. The ID was Maryland ID and identified the person attempting to pass the check as Darrell Boyd. The bank told the officer that they were advised that the defendant tried to pass the check at two other Citizens Bank, both times being denied as well.

Charges were filed as the defendant fled the scene prior to officers arriving.
