On Tuesday, April 21, 2020 at approximately 0036 hours, MPD came in contact with Joshua P. Hurst in the 300 block of Spring Street.  A mere encounter was conducted and Hurst's name and DOB was obtained.  MPD ran Hurst for wants and warrants as he had an active NCIC warrant out of the Dauphin County Sheriff's Department for dangerous drugs.  Hurst was placed under arrest which led to a search of his person and property.  As a result of the search, a sizeable amount of marijuana and several items of drug paraphernalia were located in his bookbag.  Hurst was transported to the CBC and charged with possession of a controlled substance, possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia.
