On Tuesday, May 4, 2021 at approximately 0533 hours, MPD received a dispatch to the area of the 200 block of South Lawrence Street in reference to an active disturbance.  Contact was made with the caller; who advised she was assaulted by her roommate.  Contact was made with the suspect; Jennifer Russell who as a result of an investigation was placed under arrest for Simple Assault and Willful Obstruction of Emergency Telecommunications.
