On 1/20/2022, Middletown Borough Police conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle that had a registration plate (license plate) that did not belong on the vehicle, a "dead tag". This was first observed in the area of Ann Street and South Union Street. 

A subsequent drug investigation was begun on the traffic stop, and the driver, an adult male, was found to have a suspended driver's license- DUI related, also.  

The male is pending drug and traffic charges.
