Middletown Borough Police would like to remind all parents about the safety of their children during this upcoming Trick-or-Treat season.
Parents:
- If possible please supervise your children during their Halloween Trick-or-Treating, tag along with them on their route, or at the minimum make sure they travel in groups with other friends.
- Check their candy when they return home. Throw away any candy that is not properly packaged in the factory packaging or appears to have already been opened or tampered with.
- Remind your children to keep a cell phone on their person while they are trick or treating (if they are old enough to not be accompanied by you), and to call 911/Police if they believe they are being followed or are approached by any strangers.
- https://www.pameganslaw.state.pa.us/ (Parents please review this website, which is open to the PUBLIC. You can review the locations and identities of registered sex offenders in your neighborhood. Again, this is a website that can be accessed by the PUBLIC and the link is also on our main CrimeWatch page).
Be safe, be vigilant, and Happy Halloween!!
