How do I file a Right to Know Request?

Appeal Info:  A requester may appeal within fifteen (15) business days of the mailing date of the denial. Appeals regarding non-criminal records shall be submitted to the Pennsylvania Office of Open Records (OOR), while appeals regarding criminal records shall be submitted to the Dauphin County District Attorney’s Office. Either party may appeal to the Dauphin County Court of Common Pleas within thirty (30) days of the OOR decision.

How do I request a Body Worn Camera or Mobile Video Recording?

Requests for Police Recordings are handled differently than Right to Know Requests. You must complete an Act 22 Request form and submit it to the Chief of Police, Garth Warner.

Requests must include:

1. The date, time, and location of the event recorded
2. The requestor’s relationship to the event recorded
3. If the event took place inside a residence, the request must also identify every person present at the time of the recording unless unknown and not reasonably ascertained

How do I request a record through the Act 134 Crime Victim Right of Access?

Requests for police records through Act 134 access must be on an Act 134 Request Form and submitted to the Chief of Police, Garth Warner.
