The Swatara Township Police Department is hosting the 3rd Annual 5K Hero Run on Sunday, November 1, 2015. This race benefits the Keystone Wounded Warriors who aid veterans residing in or have ties to Pennsylvania, Cops for K.O.P.S which aids children of fallen police officers in Pennsylvania and the Swatara Township Crime Prevention Fund. 

There are 1st, 2nd and 3rd place medals given out for men and women in each respective age group as well as cash prizes for fastest times overall for men and women.  This is a great social event for a great cause which allows you to get outside and exercise!  Our unique course takes runners through the Harrisburg Mall!  Register to run by October 9th and you are guaranteed a free dri-fit shirt with this year’s logo! 

In addition, we also offer a 1-mile fun run for kids.  You can register by visiting www.swatarapolice.org. Sponsorships are still needed with forms available on the website. Deadline to be a sponsor for this year’s race is Monday, October 5th!
