ACTIVE SHOOTER TRAINING EXERCISE ANNOUNCEMENT

The Swatara Township Police Department, Steelton Police Department, Highspire Police Department and the Steelton Highspire School District will be conducting an Active Shooter Training Exercise on Friday, August 26, 2022 at the Steelton Highspire campus.  This exercise will begin at 8:00 a.m. and conclude at 1:00 p.m. and is part of ongoing planning and preparations to ensure the safety of the students and staff at the schools.

This exercise will involve multiple local police and fire departments, EMS services and school district personnel.  The public should expect to see a large emergency services presence in the area during the exercise.
