Cpl. Bloss and his K-9 partner J.T. along with Cpl. Pokrop and Officer Kennedy all visited the pre-school students at St. Catherine Laboure School.  Cpl. Bloss spoke about how J.T. helps the police department by sniffing out drugs and apprehending criminals.  The children were excited to meet J.T. who was also very excited to meet the kids!  The officers of the Swatara Township Police Department enjoy getting out into the community and meeting various people.  This helps us build everlasting relationships with community members and allows people to see us in a more relaxed atmosphere.  It’s especially important for us to build positive relationships with children so that they know they can trust the police and also know that we are out in their communities ready to help them should they need us.  If you are part of a business or organization and would like for us to provide an informational presentation please contact Cpl.
