Swatara Township Police Patrolman Richard LeCadre was recently selected by a committee of his peers and supervisors to receive the Officer of the Quarter Award for the period of October - December of 2021!
The Swatara Township Police Officer of the Quarter Award recognizes continuous, consistent dedication and unselfish effort put forth throughout a given quarter of the year, while striving to uphold the highest traditions of the Department based upon the following criteria:
- Dependability
- Job Knowledge
- Productivity
- Appearance
- Performance
- Courtesy
Officer LeCadre is a dedicated member of the Department, and has been for the past 15 years. He is currently assigned to A Platoon, and for the last year he has been the Platoon Traffic Safety Officer. This is a relatively new position, responsible for handling traffic related matters such as investigating crashes, complaints of driving violations, and conducting traffic studies. Officer LeCadre has done a great job adjusting to his new role. In addition to his new responsibilities, he continues to respond to and handle calls for service. Officer LeCadre is also the platoon FTO and Firearms Instructor. He takes both of these responsibilities very seriously and works to ensure that every Officer is learning the skills they will need to be safe and successful in this profession. Officer LeCadre recently tested for, and was selected for, an open position on the Dauphin County Crisis Response Team.
Congratulations, Officer LeCadre!
