The Swatara Township Senior Resource Fair is tomorrow!  This event is taking place on 4/26/23 from 10am until 2pm at the LCBC Church in Harrisburg, located at 4150 Chambers Hill Road Harrisburg, PA.  The Senior Resource Fair will feature various agencies and services whose focus is on senior citizens.  This event is designed for those who are 60 years of age or older OR for those individuals who provide care for a senior.  The Swatara Township Senior Resource Fair is open to ALL members of the public.  Admission is FREE and there will be lite refreshments served.  

The Senior Resource Fair will feature over 55 vendors from throughout central Pennsylvania.  We will also have the following services and presentations the day of the event:

• FREE paper shredding services available FROM 11am to 1pm, for those who would like to discard any confidential/personal documents in a safe manner
• Drug Drop Box: This provides a safe and anonymous way to dispose of any unused/expired medication (includes OTC medication).  We can accept all types of medication including liquids as long as they are in sealed containers.  PLEASE NO SHARPS. Visit the Swatara Township table to drop off your medication.
• Fraud Bingo taking place in the Auditorium from 10am until 11am: Presented by the PA Dept. of Banks and Securities
• Senior Fraud and Scams Information from 1pm until 2pm:  Presented by the PA Attorney General's Office
• FREE blood pressure screenings

We know we have a large population of seniors living in Pennsylvania.  We also have a vast amount of services that are available for senior citizens.  Our hope is that the Senior Resource Fair will bridge the gap between the two!
