The Swatara Township Police Department is teaming up with the Harrisburg Area Police Athletic League for their annual Shop with a Cop event.  This event is taking place tomorrow at the Harrisburg Wal-Mart between 10am and 1pm.  Over 100 children will be participating in Shop with a Cop tomorrow.  Shop with a Cop pairs law enforcement officers with children who are experiencing a hardship within their family.  The officers then take the child shopping for presents for their family members.  Each child receives a $100 gift card to use to buy presents with.  Shop with a Cop is fully sponsored by Wal-Mart!  A big THANK YOU goes out to Wal-Mart for donating $12,000 toward this event along with the other food and supplies that are necessary to make this a special day for all involved.
