SUMMER YOUTH POLICE PROGRAM: NOW ACCEPTING APPLICATIONS

We are now accepting applications for the 2023 Youth Police Program.  The Youth Police Program is open to children ages 13-15 and is designed to educate youth about the field of law enforcement.  This week long program focuses on various aspects of the job to include Patrol Duties, Police Forensics, Police K-9, Use of Force, Traffic Enforcement, Interviewing for a career in law enforcement, Firearms Safety and more.  The Youth Police Program is open to residents OR non-residents of Swatara Township/Paxtang Borough.  There is no cost to attend this program.  The 2023 Youth Police Program will run daily from June 19th through June 23th from 8am to 12pm.  The program is held at the Swatara Township Municipal building.  The Youth Police Program is great for those individuals who are interested in a career in law enforcement later in life OR for those who simply want to learn more about what the police do.  This is a great way for teens to meet our officers on a more personal level.  Applications are due no later than June 2, 2023 and they can be downloaded from this site.  For questions regarding the Youth Police Program please email Cpl.
