The Harrisburg Area Police Athletic League hosted their annual Gala: Dancing with the Stars of Harrisburg on Saturday September 10th at the Harrisburg Hilton.  This event is HAPAL's largest fundraising event of the year.  HAPAL offers mentoring through sports for young children and aids in building bridges between law enforcement and members of the community.  Cpl. Brandon Pokrop of the Swatara Township Police Department was one of the dancing contestants for the night and he got first place in the competition.  He also serves as an HAPAL board member.  For more information on HAPAL and the programs they provide please click HERE.
