Are your kids bored?  Are they running out of things to do?  Well then, this might be the post for you!  The Swatara Township Police Department is proud to present the Kids Coloring Challenge.  Starting today, we will be posting a coloring challenge to our viewers in the form of a specific topic.  The coloring challenge is open to kids of all ages up to the age of 17.  Children can draw, color, paint or create a picture using any other material they prefer that pertains to the topic for the day.  Parents/Guardians can submit these pictures to the police department via email at bpokrop@swatarpolice.org.  Within the email please include the child's full name, age, topic that the picture is pertaining to along with their parent's/guardian's name and contact number.  Please do not include this information on the child's artwork as we will be posting some of the pictures on our Facebook Page.  You can visit our Facebook page by clicking on the Facebook icon at the top of our website.  Once the children are back in school we will take a vote on all of the submitted pictures and choose a winner for each age group and topic.  Children can participate in as many of the challenges as they would like to.  Stay tuned over the next 10 days as we will be adding a new challenge every few days for the kids to create new pictures.  Each winner will receive a goody bag from the police department.  There is no cost to participate and this challenge is open to residents and non-residents of Swatara Township.  Good luck and we look forward to seeing all of those beautiful and creative pictures from all of the kids out there!  Stay happy and healthy during this difficult time and remember, we are here for you!

Rules:

1.  Pictures must be submitted via email at bpokrop@swatarapolice.org (Please do not mail the picture into the department).  Please include your child's name, age and the challenge       that their picture is pertaining to as well as the child's parent/guardian's name and contact phone number

2.  Pictures must be drawn by the child, unassisted by another person regardless of age (participants include all children up to the age of 17)

3.  Deadline to submit pictures is April 3rd, 2020 (This includes all pictures regardless of which challenge it is)

4.  One winner will be selected from each age group for each challenge:  Age groups include ages 2-4, 5-8, 9-12, 13-15 and 16-17.

CHALLENGE 1:  Draw a picture that represents something that you do to help prevent the spread of germs.
