Swatara Township Police Department was welcoming back students of the Steelton-Highspire School District today.  Up until today the entire school district had all students learning from home.  The students are being brought back utilizing a hybrid style, which allows half of the student population to attend in person and the other half to remain at home, learning online.  Each student will spend two days each week learning in person and three days learning online.  Today also provided an opportunity for the students to meet our new School Resource Officer, Ben Stewart.  Officer Stewart was recently assigned as the new SRO for the school district back in August, however due to COVID-19, he has not had the opportunity to meet any of the students thus far.  It was great to see so many of the students return to school today despite the chilly weather.  On behalf of the Swatara Township Police Department, WELCOME BACK ROLLERS!
